Are you a certified Welder III looking for your next role in Eugene? Default seeks a highly skilled welder to join our production team. In this position, you'll take on advanced welding assignments, mentor junior welders, and help ensure our products meet exacting quality and safety standards. What You'll Do
- Execute complex welding operations on structural assemblies, pressure vessels, or heavy fabrications using multiple welding processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to set up and perform welds to specification
- Inspect completed welds for defects, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with codes and customer requirements
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core machines
- Collaborate with fabrication and quality teams to troubleshoot welding challenges and optimize production workflows
- Train and guide junior welders on technique, safety protocols, and procedural best practices
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations
Skills & Qualifications
- Welder III certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise in multiple welding processes
- 5+ years of hands-on welding experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing
- Ability to pass visual and X-ray inspection of completed welds
- Proficiency reading and following technical drawings and welding procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero-defect work
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to work a full-time, in-person schedule in Eugene
