Retail Key Holder

Join Goodwill of Western NY as a Retail Key Holder in Olean, Cattaraugus County. This is a full-time opportunity to make an impact at our newly opening store location while taking on both cashier and team leadership responsibilities.

Position Summary

As a Retail Key Holder at our Olean location, you'll combine cashier responsibilities with leadership oversight of daily store operations. You'll manage point-of-sale transactions, supervise team members during your shifts, and help establish strong operational standards as we launch this new store. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow leadership capabilities while staying directly involved in customer service and store management.

What You'll Do

• Process customer transactions at the register with accuracy and professionalism
• Manage store access using keys and security protocols as assigned
• Supervise floor and cashier operations during designated shifts
• Assist customers with questions about merchandise and store policies
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and displays
• Help train and mentor new team members on Goodwill standards and procedures
• Report on store performance and inventory concerns to management
• Support opening and closing procedures for the store

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail, cashier, or customer service roles
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail with transactions
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to a team environment
• Willingness to learn Goodwill systems and embrace our mission
• Ability to supervise and support colleagues professionally
