Account Executive – Inside Sales

Role Overview

As an Account Executive for Inside Sales at Discovery Education, you are the key architect of customer relationships and revenue growth. You'll combine consultative selling expertise with genuine passion for improving educational outcomes. Your mission is to identify opportunities, build trust with educational leaders, and guide institutions toward adopting our proven digital learning platforms that engage students and strengthen teaching practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with school district administrators, principals, and instructional leaders through outbound prospecting and strategic account management
• Conduct product demonstrations and present customized solutions aligned with school-based educational goals
• Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to identify and qualify sales opportunities
• Track activities, manage pipelines, and maintain accurate records in our CRM system
• Work toward revenue targets while maintaining detailed notes on customer needs and follow-up actions
• Stay current on product features, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in K-12 education technology

Qualifications

• Proven track record in inside sales, B2B account management, or consultative selling roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport quickly
• Experience selling complex solutions to organizational buyers or institutional clients
• Self-directed work style with ability to manage your own pipeline and time efficiently
• Familiarity with education, instructional technology, or learning solutions preferred
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales tools
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in sales
