Part-time Speech Therapist SLP

A.G. Rhodes Cobb seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled care team serving seniors in Cumberland, Cobb County, Georgia. Role Overview

In this part-time SLP position, you will deliver clinical speech and language therapy services to our senior residents within a collaborative, supportive care environment. You'll work with individuals experiencing cognitive decline, stroke recovery, swallowing difficulties, and other communication disorders common in aging populations. This role combines direct clinical practice with interdisciplinary teamwork, allowing you to make a measurable difference in residents' functional independence and quality of life.

Core Duties

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments using standardized clinical protocols
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with resident goals and medical history
• Deliver direct therapy sessions addressing articulation, language, voice, fluency, and dysphagia
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and medical staff to coordinate integrated resident care
• Maintain clinical documentation, progress notes, and full regulatory compliance
• Participate in care conferences and communicate findings with families regarding resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid Georgia state license or ASHA certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Clinical experience working with adults, seniors, or neurological populations preferred
• Current CPR and BLS certification
• Ability to work collaboratively within a person-centered care team
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
