Hotel Maintenance Technician

Beatty Management Group LLC is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Technician for a full‑time position in Baltimore, Baltimore County, to keep the property running smoothly and ensure a comfortable stay for every guest.

About the Role

As part of the engineering team, the Hotel Maintenance Technician handles day‑to‑day upkeep and preventive care across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces. The role blends hands‑on repairs with scheduled inspections to support high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Perform minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
• Handle basic electrical work including outlet replacements, light‑fixture servicing, and troubleshooting circuit issues.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance like filter changes, coil cleaning, and responding to temperature control concerns.
• Execute carpentry tasks such as door adjustments, lock repairs, and minor furniture fixes.
• Patch and finish drywall, prepare surfaces, and apply touch‑up paint to maintain a polished appearance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance schedules, documenting completed work and ordering supplies as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest‑reported issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front‑desk staff to prioritize work orders and maintain smooth operations.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, or multi‑unit residential maintenance.
• Proficiency with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting fundamentals.
• Ability to read work orders, follow safety protocols, and use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Good communication abilities for interacting with guests and team members.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as occupancy demands.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for occasional off‑site supply runs.
