About the Role

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth check‑in experience while upholding the hospital’s standards of teamwork, honesty, integrity, compassion, respect, and quality. The role operates on a casual, as‑needed schedule that covers weekday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts.

What You'll Do

• Welcome patients, verify demographic and insurance information, and collect any required co‑pays or deposits.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the hospital’s electronic health record system.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
• Provide clear directions and assistance to patients navigating the facility.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
