Director, M&A Integration & Special Projects

The Director, M&A Integration & Special Projects leads integration efforts for Sony Pictures Entertainment’s acquisitions and special initiatives from its Culver City, Los Angeles County headquarters. Reporting to the Corporate Development leadership, this full‑time role drives the strategy, execution, and post‑close success of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve‑outs.

About the Role

Within Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Corporate Development team, the Integration Management Office relies on this director to shape integration vision, build detailed plans, and oversee cross‑functional workstreams that ensure acquired businesses are smoothly incorporated while delivering expected synergies.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain integration frameworks, timelines, and playbooks for all M&A activity.
• Partner with finance, legal, HR, IT, and operational leaders to align resources and manage risk.
• Lead integration workstreams, track milestones, and report progress to senior executives.
• Manage divestitures and carve‑out projects, ensuring clean separations and value preservation.
• Drive special projects identified by Corporate Development, ranging from process improvements to strategic initiatives.
• Mentor integration managers and foster collaboration across global teams.
• Continuously improve integration methodology based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading M&A integration or post‑merger integration programs in media, entertainment, or related industries.
• Strong strategic thinking coupled with hands‑on project management expertise.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizational structures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and change‑management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering synergies and meeting integration timelines.
