About the Role

As a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist with Merck, you'll combine clinical knowledge with relationship-building expertise to become an essential partner for healthcare providers in your district. You'll be the primary point of contact between Merck's cardiovascular portfolio and your assigned customer base, delivering tailored solutions that address patient needs in your community.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the main clinical liaison for hospitals, health systems, and independent cardiologists throughout South Texas and New Mexico
  • Educate healthcare providers on cardiovascular disease management, treatment options, and Merck's clinical products
  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives and Integrated Delivery System leaders to develop strategic territory plans
  • Support customer success through ongoing clinical communication and relationship management
  • Represent Merck at medical conferences, health system forums, and clinical education events in the Cedar, Cole County area and surrounding regions
  • Gather market insights and provider feedback to inform sales and clinical strategy
  • Maintain current knowledge of cardiovascular disease trends, treatment guidelines, and competitive landscape

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiology, or cardiovascular nursing
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with physicians and health system leaders
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts
  • Territory-based sales or field support experience in healthcare preferred
  • Self-directed professional comfortable managing a geographic territory independently
  • Strategic thinking paired with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Willingness to travel within the South Texas/New Mexico district as needed
