Assistant Coach – Boys Tennis – HS

About the Role

The Assistant Coach for boys tennis plays a key role in supporting our high school tennis program. You'll work under the Head Coach to cultivate a competitive team environment while helping athletes develop technical skills, tactical awareness, and a passion for the sport. This position combines coaching expertise with a commitment to student-athlete growth both on and off the court.

What You'll Do

• Conduct practice sessions focused on tennis technique, conditioning, and match preparation
• Instruct athletes in proper form, strategy, and competitive best practices
• Assess player performance and provide individualized feedback and coaching
• Assist with match preparation, lineup decisions, and tournament logistics
• Support the development of team culture, sportsmanship, and athletic discipline
• Collaborate with the Head Coach and athletic department on program goals
• Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safe, professional training conditions

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated knowledge of boys tennis techniques, rules, and competitive play
• Experience coaching high school athletes or equivalent athletic background
• Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and mentor young athletes
• Ability to work effectively within a team coaching structure
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive team environment
• Flexibility with scheduling to accommodate practice and competition times
• Current background check clearance or willingness to obtain as required by the district
