Join Amazon's North America AMZL Design Engineering team as a Design Engineer in Bellevue, King County, and help shape the future of Amazon's global delivery logistics network. We're seeking an experienced design professional to support the expansion and optimization of Amazon Logistics delivery stations across North America.
About the Opportunity
Amazon's LastMile organization operates and continuously expands one of the world's largest networks of delivery stations. As a Design Engineer, you'll work with our North America Design team to advance the acquisition, planning, design, and construction of facilities that power same-day and next-day delivery for millions of customers. This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise directly impacts the efficiency and capability of Amazon's distribution infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine designs for delivery station facilities, incorporating operational requirements and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, construction, real estate, and engineering to deliver projects on schedule
- Evaluate facility layouts, workflows, and infrastructure systems to enhance throughput and performance
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for facility expansion initiatives
- Manage design documentation, specifications, and technical standards throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify process improvements and innovative solutions to optimize facility operations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in design engineering, facilities design, or infrastructure planning
- Proficiency with design and CAD software tools
- Strong understanding of building systems, logistics operations, and facility requirements
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
