Northrop Grumman is hiring an Electrical Engineer for Facility Electrical Design (FED) on the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program in Roy, Weber County. This is a full-time position for an engineer ready to contribute to critical command and launch infrastructure that supports national defense capabilities.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer on the Sentinel C&L INF Facility Electrical Design team, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems for advanced facility infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work on systems of strategic importance, combining technical expertise with practical engineering solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and engineer electrical systems for command and launch facility infrastructure
- Develop and review electrical schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate electrical solutions into larger facility designs
- Conduct analyses and assessments of electrical system performance and reliability
- Support facility construction, testing, and commissioning phases
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in electrical design and engineering, particularly for facility or infrastructure systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
- Proficiency with electrical design software and CAD tools
- Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Valid U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as required for program support
