About the Role
As a Senior Principal Engineer in our Survivability practice, you will drive the design, analysis, and deployment of systems engineered for mission-critical reliability and protection. Your work will directly influence how defense platforms perform under demanding operational conditions. This role combines deep technical leadership with strategic problem-solving on some of the nation's most advanced engineering challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead system architecture and design efforts focused on survivability across defense platforms
- Conduct advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis to validate system performance and resilience
- Direct integration of survivability requirements into platform development and acquisition cycles
- Mentor senior engineering teams and influence cross-functional technical strategy
- Ensure compliance with defense standards and security protocols throughout development lifecycle
- Travel up to 25% to meet with government partners, contractors, and testing facilities
What We're Looking For
- Active Secret security clearance (required to start)
- 15+ years of defense or aerospace engineering experience with demonstrated leadership
- Expert-level knowledge of survivability principles, threat modeling, and system hardening
- Strong background in systems engineering, requirements management, and trade studies
- Proven ability to lead large technical teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (advanced degree preferred)
