About the Role

As a Senior Manager in our Internal Partnership Tax function, you'll be responsible for managing the firm's own state and local tax compliance, planning, and regulatory matters. This position sits at the intersection of tax expertise and internal firm leadership, requiring both deep technical knowledge and the ability to influence business decisions at the partner level. You'll engage with senior leadership to identify tax optimization opportunities and navigate evolving state and local tax requirements that affect our operations across multiple jurisdictions.

What You'll Do

• Oversee state and local tax compliance and reporting for the firm's various business entities and partnerships
• Develop and recommend tax planning strategies designed to optimize the firm's tax positions
• Monitor changes in state and local tax legislation and regulations, assessing impact and implementing necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and partnership leadership to align tax planning with business objectives
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate with multi-state compliance requirements
• Travel up to 20% as needed to support firm operations and stakeholder engagement

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in state and local tax within a professional services firm or complex corporate environment
• Demonstrated mastery of multi-state tax compliance, planning, and regulatory matters
• Senior-level management experience with ability to influence and advise executive-level stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax law and its application to firm structures
• Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
