Campbell Union High School District is seeking an experienced Field Hockey Head Coach to lead the varsity field hockey program at Del Mar High School. This full-time seasonal coaching position offers the opportunity to develop student athletes and guide a competitive high school athletic program.
About the Role
As the Field Hockey Head Coach at Del Mar High School, you will oversee all aspects of the varsity field hockey program within Campbell Union High School District. This full-time seasonal position includes a $4,325 stipend and focuses on coaching excellence, player development, and building a strong athletic culture.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement comprehensive field hockey practice plans, training sessions, and conditioning programs
- Develop game strategies and provide tactical coaching during varsity competitions
- Scout, recruit, and mentor student athletes of varying skill levels
- Monitor player development, injury prevention, and compliance with athletic policies
- Maintain equipment and ensure practice facilities meet program standards
- Establish team culture centered on discipline, sportsmanship, and academic achievement
- Communicate with parents, school leadership, and athletic administration
- Ensure adherence to district, state, and athletic association regulations
