Elevance Health seeks an accomplished Staff Vice President of Carelon Performance to lead strategic performance initiatives across our Carelon healthcare services division. This full-time executive leadership role is based in the United States and offers an opportunity to drive meaningful transformation in integrated, whole-person care delivery.
About the Role
As Staff VP of Carelon Performance, you will report to senior leadership and take ownership of performance strategy, metrics, and continuous improvement across Carelon's enterprise-wide healthcare operations. You'll shape how we measure, monitor, and enhance our ability to deliver personalized, integrated care that connects physical health, behavioral health, social services, and pharmacy resources.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute performance frameworks that drive accountability and results across clinical, operational, and financial dimensions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to establish key performance indicators aligned with Carelon's mission to make care more affordable, accessible, and person-centered
- Analyze performance data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and recommend strategic solutions
- Oversee performance management programs and ensure visibility into organizational metrics at all levels
- Drive organizational change initiatives focused on enhancing care integration and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business leaders to align performance strategies with company objectives
What We're Looking For
- Extensive leadership experience in healthcare performance management, operations, or strategy, ideally at the executive or senior leadership level
- Deep understanding of healthcare metrics, quality measurement, and healthcare delivery models
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational performance improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred
