Join U.S. Xpress, a leading trucking company based in Verona, as a full-time CDL-A driver on our over-the-road fleet. We're seeking experienced truck drivers ready to hit the highway and build a sustainable career with competitive pay, stability, and ongoing support.
About the Role
As a CDL-A company driver for U.S. Xpress, you'll operate a dry van truck on long-haul routes across the United States. This is a full-time, over-the-road position designed for drivers with 1 to 5 months of professional trucking experience who are ready to take the next step in their career.
What You'll Do
- Operate a commercial dry van truck safely and professionally on multi-state routes
- Transport freight across the country, maintaining schedules and delivery deadlines
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with federal and state transportation regulations
- Work on a home-time rotation (12 days out, 2 days home)
Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive pay structured by experience, along with guaranteed weekly minimum income and sign-on bonuses:
- Pay scale: 57 to 64 cents per mile (CPM), based on your experience level
- Guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500
- Average weekly miles: approximately 2,000 miles
- $4,000 sign-on bonus to get you started
- Top-performing drivers earn up to $1,650 per week
- Team driver opportunities available with $5,000 bonus, $0.72–$0.80 per mile split, and approximately 5,000 miles per week
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- 1 to 5 months of commercial truck driving experience
- Ability to pass background check and medical examination
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
