About the Role
Our Cardiovascular Recovery Room is a specialized 29-bed prep and recovery center with eight radial lounges, operating 24/7 to support patients throughout their cardiac procedures and immediate recovery. You'll join a nurturing, collaborative team where patient safety and compassionate care are the foundation of everything we do. What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care in the prep and immediate recovery phases of cardiovascular procedures, monitoring vital signs, comfort levels, and clinical status with precision and compassion
- Conduct thorough assessments, recognize changes in patient condition, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide clear, reassuring communication with patients and families, addressing concerns and supporting informed decision-making
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and nursing colleagues in a team-centered environment focused on safety and excellence
- Maintain detailed, accurate nursing documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement on the unit
- Work 12-hour straight shifts with scheduled weekend on-call responsibilities as part of our 24/7 care model
What We're Looking For
- Current, active RN license in Maryland
- Experience in cardiovascular nursing, acute care, or procedural recovery—or a demonstrated commitment to developing expertise in cardiac care
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Patient advocacy mindset with ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
- Excellent communication skills and genuine compassion for patient and family needs
