As a Consulting Principal with expertise in healthcare payer operations, you'll serve as a key advisor to Fortune 500 health plans and insurance companies. This full-time position combines deep subject matter knowledge of the payer industry with proven consulting leadership. You'll work across the Cognizant Consulting practice—a global community of 5,000 experts—to deliver high-impact solutions that reshape how health plans operate and serve their members.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategic consulting engagements for healthcare payer organizations, translating complex business challenges into actionable technology and operational strategies
- Develop comprehensive recommendations on healthcare payer transformation, covering claims management, medical underwriting, member benefits administration, and regulatory compliance
- Partner with C-suite and executive leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement and competitive differentiation across the payer value chain
- Direct cross-functional consulting teams and technology specialists to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and member outcomes
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client stakeholders, establishing yourself as a thought leader in healthcare payer advisory
- Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital by sharing healthcare payer insights and best practices across the consulting community
What We're Looking For
- Proven subject matter expertise in healthcare payer operations, insurance products, managed care, or closely related healthcare business domains
