Join Cognizant's AI Engineering and Integration team as an Agentic AI MCP Integration Specialist in Helena, Lewis and Clark County, Montana. This full-time position offers the opportunity to architect and deploy critical integrations that connect intelligent agent systems with enterprise applications through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
About the Role
As an Agentic AI MCP Integration Specialist, you'll design and maintain robust connections between autonomous AI agents and existing enterprise infrastructure. Working alongside AI architects and engineers, you'll translate complex integration requirements into reliable, scalable implementations that enable organizations to unlock the full potential of agentic AI technology.
What You'll Do
- Design end-to-end integrations between agentic AI systems and legacy and modern enterprise platforms using the Model Context Protocol
- Develop and validate integration architectures that ensure seamless communication between AI agents and business applications
- Collaborate with AI architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Partner with software engineers and cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and optimize integrations across distributed environments
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for deployed integrations
- Work with data engineering teams to ensure proper data flow and API compatibility within integrated systems
- Document integration patterns and create reusable components to accelerate future projects
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations between systems or platforms
- Strong understanding of APIs, data protocols, and enterprise application architecture
- Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar context-based integration frameworks
- Knowledge of agentic AI systems and how autonomous agents interact with external tools
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
