About the Role

Cognizant is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Specialist to take ownership of our procure-to-pay cycle. You'll work at the intersection of accuracy and efficiency, handling everything from invoice receipt through payment processing. What You'll Do

• Validate invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Code and route invoices to appropriate departments and cost centers
• Process payments on schedule while maintaining strong vendor relationships
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on outstanding items
• Resolve discrepancies and answer vendor inquiries with professionalism and precision
• Support compliance initiatives and maintain organized records throughout the payment cycle

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of accounts payable or related finance operations experience
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external vendors
