This travel contract places you in Asheville's cardiac catheterization lab with a structured four-day work week: four 10-hour shifts running Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You'll support interventional cardiologists and your healthcare team while gaining valuable experience in a cardiac specialty setting during this 8-week engagement.
What You'll Do
- Prepare cardiac catheterization equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures
- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor and document patient vital signs throughout procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards
- Manage equipment troubleshooting and coordinate facility maintenance requests
- Ensure accurate procedure documentation and lab records
What We're Looking For
- Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on cardiac catheterization lab experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and manage patient care demands
- Valid CPR certification for healthcare providers
- Travel flexibility and adaptability to facility-specific protocols
