Jacobs is hiring a Senior Project Architect for a full-time position in Cary, Wake County to lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure and technology solutions across multiple regions. About the Role

As a Senior Project Architect at Jacobs, you'll direct the architectural vision and technical strategy for major projects spanning Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. You'll work across diverse teams to ensure project design aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term vision. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership.

What You'll Do

• Define and guide project architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational and client goals
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex design challenges and technical decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable architectural solutions
• Oversee design reviews, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
• Manage project documentation, specifications, and technical deliverables
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in project architecture, design, or related engineering leadership roles
• Strong understanding of technical systems, infrastructure, and architectural principles
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive technical decisions in large-scale projects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly when explaining complex concepts
• Project management capabilities with experience delivering results on schedule and within budget
• Professional licensure or relevant certifications preferred
• Ability to work across geographically distributed teams and manage competing priorities
