About the Role
As a Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General, you'll be the backbone of our Blountville store operations. You'll support sales floor activities, mentor team members, and ensure customers receive outstanding service every visit. Your leadership, product knowledge, and commitment to operational excellence will directly impact your store's success and team performance.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers and drive sales across merchandise categories including household essentials, apparel, health and beauty, and seasonal items
- Train and mentor store associates on customer service standards, product knowledge, and company policies
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
- Handle cash register operations, process transactions accurately, and maintain drawer accountability
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and store security
- Identify opportunities to promote Dollar General products and achieve store sales goals
- Uphold company standards for loss prevention and asset protection
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and seasonal peak periods as scheduled
