Huntington National Bank seeks a Senior Resolution and Recovery Planning Analyst to join our team at our Chicago location in the Illinois Medical District. This is a full-time position dedicated to developing and maintaining recovery and resolution plans that ensure regulatory compliance and organizational resilience.
About the Role
Under the Dodd-Frank Act of 2008 and related regulatory requirements, large banking institutions must prepare and maintain detailed resolution and recovery plans. These plans must be periodically submitted to the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In this senior analyst role, you'll lead the development and maintenance of these critical plans, working at the intersection of regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational strategy.
What You'll Do
- Develop and update comprehensive resolution and recovery plans to meet Dodd-Frank Act requirements and regulatory expectations
- Analyze the organization's structure, operations, and critical services to identify effective recovery and resolution approaches
- Partner with business units across the bank to gather operational data and strategic insights
- Document recovery procedures, contingency plans, and operational continuity strategies
- Prepare and coordinate regulatory submissions to federal agencies, including the Federal Reserve, FDIC, and OCC
- Support stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate plan feasibility
- Monitor evolving regulatory guidance and update plans to maintain compliance
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in banking operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, or related financial services roles
- Knowledge of the Dodd-Frank Act and banking regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and departments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
- Experience developing resolution, recovery, or similar regulatory submissions preferred
- Ability to communicate complex financial and operational concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Proficiency with data analysis and financial systems
