Licensed Practical Nurse – Neurology Clinic

SSM Health is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for its Neurology Clinic at the SLUCare Academic Pavilion in Saint Louis, Missouri — a role built for LPNs who want to advance their neuro expertise within a nationally recognized Catholic health system.

About the Role

Joining the Neurology team at SSM Health's SLUCare Academic Pavilion means practicing in a structured, patient-focused clinic environment alongside registered nurses and physicians. This is a regular, full-time position featuring a rotating 10-hour shift schedule, four days per week — with no on-call requirements, no weekend shifts, and no holiday obligations.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct patient care within the Neurology Clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or attending physician
• Perform clinical assessments, collect patient histories, and document findings accurately in the electronic health record
• Administer medications and treatments as directed, following established protocols and scope-of-practice guidelines
• Prepare patients for examinations and neurological procedures, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout
• Coordinate care transitions, follow-up scheduling, and patient education under RN or physician guidance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support consistent, high-quality neurological care

What We're Looking For

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Missouri
• Two or more years of neurology or neuroscience clinical experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of RNs and physicians in a fast-paced clinic setting
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills, with attention to detail in documentation
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations and related clinical workflows is a significant advantage
