About the Role

As a Senior Welding and Equipment Maintenance Technician at WM in Brunswick, Glynn County, you will take ownership of the upkeep, diagnosis, and repair of major equipment components. Working a Monday-through-Friday daytime schedule (8:00 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m.), you will apply hands-on welding and mechanical expertise to ensure compactors and containers stay operational and dependable. Starting pay is determined by experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) on compactors, containers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and pinpoint the root cause of faults.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components to restore full functionality.
  • Determine when components should be repaired versus replaced, and complete that work to specification.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as part of equipment maintenance and rebuilds.
  • Document maintenance activity and uphold safety and quality standards throughout each job.

Qualifications

  • Proven, senior-level experience maintaining and repairing heavy or industrial equipment such as compactors and containers.
  • Strong welding skills and the ability to fabricate and rebuild major components.
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic ability across mechanical systems.
  • Capable of working independently on a consistent weekday daytime shift.
