Black Hills Special Services Cooperative is seeking a dependable Night Custodian at Hermosa School to keep our learning environment clean, safe, and welcoming. This is a full-time, on-site custodial position based in the United States, available to start immediately.
About the Role
As the Night Custodian at Hermosa School, you will play an essential part in maintaining a healthy and orderly facility for students, staff, and visitors. Working evening hours, you will handle the cleaning and upkeep duties that keep the school running smoothly each day. This full-time maintenance and custodial role reports to Black Hills Special Services Cooperative and is located on-site in the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas during evening shifts
- Empty waste receptacles, sanitize surfaces, and restock supplies as needed
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and care for floors and other building surfaces
- Lock and secure the building, checking doors and windows at the close of each shift
- Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor
- Support a clean and safe environment that promotes student learning and well-being
Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work a full-time night schedule
- Capacity to perform physical tasks, including standing, lifting, and bending throughout the shift
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during evening hours
- Prior custodial or facility maintenance experience is helpful but not required
