About the Role
As a Credit Recovery Paraeducator with Fremont Public Schools, you will support high school students working to recover course credits, providing hands-on guidance in a structured, technology-supported learning environment. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Fremont, Dodge County, scheduled for 7.5 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist high school students as they complete credit recovery coursework and progress toward graduation.
- Use educational technology and digital learning platforms to help students stay engaged and on pace.
- Offer encouragement, supervision, and one-on-one or small-group academic support throughout the school day.
- Work alongside teachers and staff to monitor student progress and reinforce learning goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some prior experience working with children or youth in an educational setting.
- Comfort with technology and basic computer skills used in classroom or online learning.
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is valued and reflected in the pay scale.
Compensation
- Starting pay of $17.67–$19.51 per hour, based on experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates start at $19.51–$21.54 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time schedule of 7.5 hours per day.
