Yoga Instructor

About This Position

Ymca Of Metro North is growing its yoga programming and needs an energetic, dedicated instructor to teach a diverse range of yoga classes at our Melrose, Middlesex County location. You'll lead both morning sessions beginning at 6:00am and evening classes between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, meeting members at various experience levels and fitness goals. This part-time role is ideal for instructors looking for flexible scheduling while making a meaningful impact on our community's wellness journey.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging yoga classes in multiple formats: Gentle Yoga, Yoga Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Sculpt
• Provide clear instruction on proper alignment and offer modifications for participants of all experience levels
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment where all members feel comfortable
• Motivate and inspire participants to reach their personal yoga and wellness goals
• Maintain class schedules and track attendance as needed
• Stay current with yoga teaching best practices and safety standards

Who We're Looking For

• Valid yoga instructor certification required
• Demonstrated experience teaching multiple yoga styles and skill levels
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine passion for yoga, wellness, and helping others succeed
• Ability to commit to scheduled morning and evening class times
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
