About the Role

YMCA of Metro North is hiring a dedicated and certified Yoga Instructor to teach a range of yoga disciplines to diverse member populations. You'll design and deliver engaging yoga sessions in our Melrose facility, fostering a safe space where participants of all levels can build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. With scheduled morning and evening classes, this full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community wellness and live the YMCA's core values of inclusivity and personal growth.

What You'll Do

• Teach multiple yoga formats including Gentle Yoga, Yoga Flow, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Sculpt
• Lead classes during morning hours (6:00am–7:30am) and evening hours (4:00pm–7:00pm)
• Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that supports all class participants
• Demonstrate proper form and provide modifications for different fitness levels and abilities
• Promote wellness programs and embody the YMCA's mission of community health and development

What We're Looking For

• Current yoga teaching certification or equivalent recognized credential
• Demonstrated experience leading yoga classes in group settings
• Genuine passion for creating an inclusive and accessible fitness environment
• Reliability and availability for scheduled morning and evening class times
• Strong commitment to the YMCA's values and community mission
