About the Role
As a Utilities Title Agent, you'll play a vital role in the right-of-way acquisition process for major infrastructure initiatives. You'll manage title searches, prepare legal documentation, and coordinate with engineering teams, property owners, and legal counsel to ensure all title issues are resolved efficiently. Your work directly enables projects that modernize America's infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive title searches and prepare title commitment documents and abstracts
- Identify and resolve title defects, liens, and easement issues that could impact project delivery
- Travel to project sites across regions to meet with stakeholders, verify property records, and support on-site coordination
- Prepare contracts, deeds, easement agreements, and related legal documentation
- Maintain detailed project files and ensure compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, attorneys, and right-of-way specialists to meet tight deadlines
- Support acquisitions and help navigate complex property ownership structures
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in title insurance, title agent work, or right-of-way acquisition
- Strong knowledge of title search procedures, legal documentation, and property records
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- US residency required
