Unit LNA – Surgical Care Unit

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a caring Unit LNA for its Surgical Care Unit, located in Rutland Town, Rutland County. This full-time nursing assistant role offers meaningful work in a surgical patient care environment.

About the Position

As a Unit LNA in our Surgical Care Unit, you'll work directly under registered nurse supervision to provide compassionate patient support. Your work combines hands-on bedside assistance with the operational support that keeps a busy surgical unit running smoothly.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care including assistance with personal hygiene and comfort measures
• Help patients with mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living
• Monitor and communicate patient needs and observations to nursing staff
• Keep patient rooms clean, safe, and organized for optimal healing environments
• Handle administrative and clerical support tasks for unit operations
• Respond with empathy and professionalism to patient requests
• Work collaboratively with the surgical care team to deliver quality patient outcomes

Qualifications and Skills

• Current LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of registered nurses
• Compassion for patients and commitment to their comfort and dignity
• Clear communication and strong teamwork abilities
• Physical capability to assist patients safely and perform job duties
• Reliability and attention to detail in a healthcare setting
