About the Role
As a Travel RRT in Kansas City, you'll deliver critical respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This temporary assignment runs for 13 weeks on a night schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week. The position is based in Kansas City, Kansas, 66113 (Wyandotte County) and begins September 8, 2025.
What You'll Do
- Manage and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment for hospitalized patients
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and interpret results to guide clinical decisions
- Administer aerosol medications and therapeutic gases under physician supervision
- Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to optimize patient respiratory status
- Document patient care and treatment outcomes in electronic health records
- Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and rapid-response situations
What We're Looking For
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience
- Current BCLS and BLS certifications required
- Valid state respiratory therapy license in Kansas or willingness to obtain one
- Flexibility to work night shifts
- Strong clinical assessment and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new hospital protocols and equipment
- Professional communication and teamwork abilities
- Previous travel therapy experience is not required
