About the Role
This is a full-time travel nursing position in Labor and Delivery (L&D), bringing you to a dynamic maternal health environment in one of New York's premier neighborhoods. You'll work alongside experienced obstetric teams, supporting pregnant patients through labor, delivery, and recovery while contributing to a mission-driven care setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring patients and their families
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, interpret fetal monitoring strips, and report changes to clinical teams
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures
- Administer medications and manage pain relief options under clinical protocols
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn care alongside L&D protocols
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Adapt quickly to new environments, policies, and teams—a core strength of travel nurses
What We're Looking For
- Current RN license (unrestricted) in New York State
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum six months to one year of recent L&D nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, and genuine passion for maternal health care
- Professional demeanor and collaborative approach to team-based nursing
