Sfs Group Usa, Inc. is hiring a Tool and Die Repair Technician for first shift work at our Wyomissing Hills facility in Berks County. This full-time position plays a critical role in maintaining the precision equipment that keeps our production operations running safely and efficiently.
About the Role
As a Tool and Die Repair Technician, you'll be the skilled craftsperson responsible for the upkeep, diagnosis, repair, and restoration of the specialized tooling and equipment that forms the backbone of our manufacturing process. You'll work proactively to prevent breakdowns and reactively to restore equipment to peak performance, all while maintaining the highest standards for safety and product quality.
What You'll Do
- Execute repairs and modifications on dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds to restore functionality and precision
- Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and minimize unplanned downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, diagnosing root causes and implementing lasting solutions
- Perform adjustments to ensure tools and fixtures meet exact specifications and tolerances
- Rebuild worn or damaged tooling components to manufacturer standards
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment condition
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in tool and die repair
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in tool and die repair, maintenance, or related equipment repair roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment
- Knowledge of machining principles and metal fabrication techniques
- Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet production schedules
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
