UPS is seeking a skilled Mechanic Journeyman to join our maintenance operations across the United States. As a full-time team member, you'll keep our fleet running reliably, supporting on-time deliveries for millions of customers every day.
About the Role
This Mechanic Journeyman position offers hands-on work maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles in a fast-paced logistics environment. You'll diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs that keep our fleet operational and safe. Your expertise will directly impact service quality and operational efficiency at one of the world's largest package delivery networks.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles, including delivery trucks and support equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid flushes, tire service, and brake inspections
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Document work orders, parts usage, and repair history accurately
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs and meet service schedules
What We're Looking For
- Valid Journeyman Mechanic license or certification required
- Proven experience repairing and maintaining commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and work safely with tools and equipment
- Reliability and punctuality in a full-time role
