Position Summary
The Beverly School for the Deaf is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/HH to join our Special Education team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $72,713.00 - $112,860.00 per year and includes a generous sign-on bonus of $3,000. The ideal candidate will be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and possess the skills necessary to support students with hearing impairments.
What You'll Do
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students with hearing impairments
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
- Evaluate student progress regularly and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/HH
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working with students who have hearing impairments is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and student success
