27-04 Special Education Paraprofessional with ABA

Role Overview

The Hopkinton Public School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) experience to support students in our Marathon Elementary school. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $29.26-$31.04 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Core Duties

• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support as directed by certified teachers
• Utilize ABA techniques to enhance student learning and behavior management
• Participate in daily classroom routines, including meal times, recess, and transitions
• Assist with the preparation of materials and classroom organization for students' needs
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and concerns

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in special education preferred
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting is desired, with ABA experience being highly valued
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Pediatric first aid and CPR certification required; ABA training preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
