Position Summary
Wise Group, a leading mental health and addiction service provider in Aotearoa, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This full-time position offers Friday to Monday PM shifts based in Hamilton with the opportunity for extra annual leave, Perk & Perk Plus discount app access, and an Extraordinary Payment Card valued at $250 per year. Additionally, you will receive 2 paid wellbeing days.
Core Duties
- Support tāngata whaiora (service users) in building independence
- Facilitate connections with the community to enhance social engagement and support
- Maintain a focus on individual wellbeing, promoting mental health and overall wellness
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with mental health or addiction issues
- A caring and empathetic approach to service delivery
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of mental health and addiction services (training provided)
