The Opportunity

Wise Group is seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Brightwater, Tasman. This permanent part-time position offers flexibility with shifts from Sunday to Monday and includes extra annual leave and two wellbeing days per year. The role involves supporting older individuals with mental health needs in a recovery-focused residential service environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist residents in managing daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support the implementation of individualized care plans to promote independence and recovery for residents with mental health needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and community engagement among residents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and other support staff, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.

Qualifications

• NZCHWB Level 4 qualification in a relevant field is required.
• A passion for supporting individuals with mental health needs and helping them achieve their goals.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
