Summer Technician for Dance and Theatre (2026 Summer)

About the Role

As a Summer Technician, you'll work directly with our dance and theatre programs to ensure all technical and logistical aspects of productions run smoothly. This role is essential to bringing our performances to life—from the physical construction of sets to the management of lighting and sound systems during live events.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, assemble, and paint theatrical scenery and set pieces
• Construct and maintain properties and technical elements for dance and theatre productions
• Organize, maintain, and inventory theatre support spaces and equipment storage areas
• Operate and troubleshoot lighting, audio, and video systems for performances and rehearsals
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on all technical equipment
• Support load-in and load-out procedures for multiple events throughout the season
• Collaborate with directors, choreographers, and production managers on technical needs
