Buyer

Gibson Homewares is seeking a full-time Buyer in Bell Gardens, Los Angeles County for our housewares manufacturing operations. This is an in-office position for local candidates only.

About the Role

As Buyer at Gibson Homewares, you'll drive purchasing decisions that support our portfolio of dinnerware, cookware, bakeware, cutlery, and kitchen tools. You'll work at the intersection of product development, operations, and supplier management, ensuring we source quality materials at competitive costs while maintaining our commitment to everyday cooking, dining, and entertaining excellence.

What You'll Do

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure components, materials, and finished products
• Analyze market trends and pricing to optimize procurement strategies across tabletop and housewares categories
• Collaborate with product development, operations, and quality teams to meet specifications and delivery timelines
• Manage supplier relationships, track performance, and drive continuous improvement in quality and service
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to support production planning
• Develop and maintain cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Buyer, procurement specialist, or similar role in manufacturing, housewares, tabletop, or related industries
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with vendors, internal teams, and cross-functional partners
• Proficiency with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to analyze data, manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices, quality standards, and regulatory compliance in consumer goods
• Problem-solving mindset and resourcefulness in vendor and cost management
• Local to the Bell Gardens/Los Angeles area (required)
