About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research institute in Köln, Germany, seeking a student assistant to support their social science data services team. Our client operates at the intersection of research data management, archiving, and open science infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing quantitative social science degrees to gain hands-on experience in research data workflows.

This is a part-time student position (10 hours per week) based in Köln, with flexible scheduling and remote work options.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a customer relationship management system
  • Assist with processing and managing data archiving service requests
  • Conduct literature research on research data management topics, including data sharing and archiving methodologies
  • Contribute to methodological research projects within the data lifecycle framework

What We're Looking For

  • Strong Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing one in a quantitative social science discipline
  • Self-directed and proactive work style with strong team collaboration skills
  • Experience with reference management software is desirable
  • Website maintenance experience is a plus
  • Fluency in German is required for this role
