Staff Solutions Engineer - EU / UK at Marqeta Inc in London, UK
The Opportunity
Marqeta is seeking a dynamic Staff Solutions Engineer to partner with our Business Development and Customer Success teams, helping close new revenue opportunities. This role involves leading the technical solutioning and consulting phases of sales opportunities as the primary point of contact for customers’ technical teams. You will have a deep understanding of Marqeta’s technical architecture and product solutions, presenting these in a consultative manner aimed at setting up clients for a sustainable business partnership.
This position is based out of our London office two days a week with no remote option available. The role requires driving internal knowledge sharing, process enhancements, and strategic initiatives to elevate organizational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Overview and Solution Discovery: Present Marqeta’s technical capabilities early in the sales process to customers’ product and engineering stakeholders as part of the broader vision of a Marqeta solution.
- Designing Solutions: Partner with Solutions Architects, Product Managers, and other key internal teams to refine the Marqeta solution best suited to meet customer goals as deals mature.
- Technical Consulting for Long-term Success: Serve as the client’s trusted technical advisor and their bridge to our implementation team after closing the deal. Ensure clients are prepared, properly resourced, and supported with expert technical consulting during critical early phases of engagement.
