What This Role Involves
The Solutions Engineering Manager role involves leading and growing the AMER Solutions Engineer (SE) team, covering the US market. You will support Commercial & SMB SEs in driving technical wins, providing deal-level coaching, ramping new hires, and collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and Product leaders across AMER. As a key technical leader, you will work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, architect and develop solutions, and serve as a subject matter expert on Algolia's products and services.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately 5 Solutions Engineers
- Ensure technical wins and deal-level success for Commercial & SMB SEs
- Ramp new hires to ensure they are proficient in their roles
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Product leaders across AMER
- Provide subject matter expertise on Algolia's products and services
- Work closely with customers to solve real-world problems through code, advice, and content

- Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar technical leadership position
- A deep understanding of search and discovery platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- The ability to architect and develop solutions for complex business challenges
