About the Role
As a Staff Engineer Material Process, you'll drive advanced materials and processing technologies across our operations. This full-time position requires a Secret security clearance and involves up to 10% travel. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and qualification of material processes and manufacturing procedures
- Establish and maintain process specifications, documentation, and control standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality, and production
- Conduct failure analysis and implement process improvements to enhance reliability and performance
- Ensure compliance with aerospace, defense, and industry standards (AS, NADCAP, ISO)
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical training initiatives
- Support cost optimization and manufacturing efficiency programs
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in materials processing, manufacturing engineering, or related aerospace/defense roles
- Demonstrated expertise in process development, validation, and optimization
- Strong knowledge of materials characterization, testing protocols, and failure analysis
- Experience with process documentation, control plans, and regulatory compliance
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret security clearance
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities
