Staff Accountant (Accounts Receivables and Subcontractor Disbursements)

About the Role

As Staff Accountant, you'll manage accounts receivable operations and subcontractor payment processes that directly support Tessera's mission of creating economic opportunities for underserved communities. Working within a dynamic, growing organization, you'll take ownership of cash flow management, invoice processing, and vendor payment administration—work that keeps our operations running smoothly and our partners paid on time.

What You'll Do

• Process and reconcile accounts receivable transactions, including customer invoicing, payment tracking, and collections
• Manage subcontractor disbursements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to service partners
• Reconcile bank deposits and verify payment applications against supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable aging reports and monitor outstanding balances
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end and year-end closing
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes
• Support financial reporting and audit requirements as needed

What We're Looking For

• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting operations
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools; ERP or specialized AR systems a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
• Understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation procedures
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
