About the Role
As the Sports Executive Producer for WPGH/WPNT, you will steer the editorial direction of our live daily sports show centered on the Pittsburgh region. This full-time, on-site position in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, puts you at the helm of daily content decisions while upholding the highest standards of fairness, balance, and accuracy across every segment we air.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and shape the editorial vision of our live daily sports broadcast focused on Pittsburgh-area teams and athletes.
- Manage the production of special sports programming from concept through to air.
- Partner closely with reporters on day-to-day story selection, assignments, and coverage priorities.
- Safeguard the overall fairness, balance, and accuracy of all sports content.
- Coordinate workflow and timing to deliver a polished, engaging show each day.
Qualifications
- Proven experience producing live daily television, ideally within sports broadcasting.
- Strong editorial judgment and a commitment to balanced, accurate reporting.
- Solid knowledge of the Pittsburgh sports landscape and its passionate fan base.
