What This Role Involves

The role of Sous Chef at Rockpool Bar and Grill in Perth CBD is to oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality. You will assist the Executive Chef with menu development, training junior chefs, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen activities and ensure efficient workflow
• Manage staff schedules and performance
• Ensure food quality meets the restaurant's standards
• Develop menu items and assist in menu planning
• Train junior chefs and provide feedback on their performance
• Control inventory levels and manage waste reduction
• Oversee kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. You should have excellent leadership skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a passion for culinary excellence. A minimum of 3 years in a similar role is required.

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
