Sanford Health is seeking a Social Worker to join our inpatient behavioral health program in Fargo, Saint Clair County, North Dakota. As a full-time clinician working day shifts, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals navigating mental health and substance use recovery.
About the Role
Our inpatient behavioral health team provides comprehensive psychiatric and addiction treatment services. As a Social Worker in this setting, you'll be instrumental in helping patients achieve stability, develop coping skills, and plan for sustainable recovery.
What You'll Do
- Complete thorough psychosocial assessments and collaborate on individualized treatment plans
- Lead and facilitate therapeutic group sessions and individual counseling
- Develop and coordinate discharge plans with attention to community resources and follow-up care
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and other clinical staff
- Advocate for patients and families navigating insurance, benefits, and social services
- Document clinical observations and progress in patient medical records
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and treatment reviews
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- Current state social work license (LCSW, LMSW, LSW, or eligibility for licensure)
- Demonstrated experience in mental health, behavioral health, or clinical settings
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based psychiatric treatment
- Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure
